About Dr. Edwards

Dr. Teresa Edwards is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Oklahoma with over two decades of experience supporting individuals and couples. She earned her Ph.D. in counseling from Regent University and an M.A. in marriage and family therapy from Oral Roberts University. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Edwards is an Oklahoma Board-approved LMFT Clinical Supervisor.

 

Before establishing her private practice, Dr. Edwards dedicated nine years to counseling individuals and families in the greater Tulsa area through CREOKS Behavioral Health, including two years as a site Clinical Supervisor.

 

Her academic career spans 14 years as a university professor, teaching undergraduate psychology and graduate counseling courses. She currently serves as an adjunct professor in the School of Psychology and Counseling at Regent University, where her preferred subjects include counseling psychology, family systems theory, and marriage counseling.

Special Training

Dr. Edwards has completed Levels I-III of the Gottman Certification Training, including specialized training in treating affairs and trauma, and is a Gottman Seven Principles Couples Leader. Her therapeutic approach integrates these research-based methods to foster lasting connections between partners.
